Growing up as a child in Eumundi, Ash remembers the historic Old Bakery building as a hair salon in 1980s –  it was her first childhood memory of getting her hair cut!  She never imagined 30+ years later she would reopen this incredible space as a salon once again.

After completing her apprenticeship in Eumundi, working in one of Brisbane’s most prestigious salons and then travelling for a few years, Ash began to crave owning her very own salon –  a space where people feel welcome, heard, loved and appreciated. A space where people came for friendship, where the only thing that matters is you, and it didn’t cost the family’s week wage! So when the opportunity in 2005 came to buy the salon in Eumundi where it all began, Ash jumped at the chance!

This was her first love. Loving every second of her first business and the Eumundi community, the feeling of being home, the passion of hair and building a salon based on all the experiences and all the things that make people feel good about themselves. Ash also partnered with a retail company that took her internationally through Europe and Salon International London learning from some of the world’s best hair stylists until Ash fell In love again with the news of her first babies arrival.  The salon sold quickly and Ash raised her family, but the gravitational pull for her love for salons, Eumundi and hair

10 years later Ash notice the Old Bakery building  was up for lease, the first salon she remembered as a child and one of Eumundi’s most beautiful iconic buildings.  Ash jumped at the chance to establish her salon again and is continuing to run her  thriving salon in the Old Bakery in the heart of Eumundi.
